We will try our hardest to get all the games in.weather permitting. We will be moving to Nokomis Park for the games in June unless that changes.
Any questions or comments, you know the number, 684-3137. On game nights, please try and get to the fields before 6:10. This way here the kids get a chance to toss the ball around, go to the restroom etc. Thanks, Joe Rine
Player Position Schedule:
T-Ball Rules For games, please arrive between 6:00 and 6:15 so that you can get to the proper fields, and incase someone has to use the restrooms before the games start. The games will last about an hour. Tops on the hill, (Transit rd across from Mcdonalds) sponsors our league. If you do shop at that Tops in the morning, please stop and ask for Audrey Hammernick, and thank her for approaching us regarding Tops sponsoring our league.
The game rules- We will play 3 innings per game. Scores do not count, but if the children make an out, please lets me know so we can put it on the web site. The first batter in each inning will be the last batter in the next inning. Each child will play 2 innings at their set position, with the third inning playing where they are assigned the following week. Ex. 2 innings at short stop, 3 inning at 1st. base, how ever it has on the chart. Each coach will be responsible for their team's book. What I need to know is looking at the book after the season is where the child hit the ball, and if he/she did a better job in week 5 then in week #1. How far they hit it, stuff like that. I'll show the coaches what I mean on Thursday. As you know by now we will be moving our season over to Nokomis park in June. Here is a link to that park. It has a very limited parking lot, so you will have to park on the street. http://www.mapquest.com/?version=1.0&hk=10-lc9ZVLLi
As for games on Monday, if you would like to help set up the fields, I normally leave my house around 4:45. It takes about 45 minutes to set up the fields, but if you can help out, it would make my job a little easier. We will be having a family picnic on the last day of Softball season. That day right now is scheduled for July 16th. It can change pending our move. Once I find that information out, I will get back to you. So please set this date a side.
Our rules of the organization- Please no swearing. No alcohol or beer allowed. No animals on the property. I do realize that dogs, cats, etc are part of the family, but due to insurance regulations they are not permitted. Even lap animals. Cheering for all children is encouraged. We love when kids do great. Cheer them for that. When little Jimmy hits the ball and runs up the 3rd base line, Mom and dad please don't yell. You never made a mistake when you were that age? Please clean up after yourself. If your child brings a water bottle with you please take it with you or deposit it in the garbage cans around the facilities. The organization will have there monthly meeting on Tuesday May 31 at the St. Barnabas cafeteria at 7:30 if you are interested in attending the meeting andt thinking about joining our organization.
